Jio users get new unlimited 5G plans and free AI features
Jio has announced new 5G unlimited data plans that come into effect from July, 2024, and you also get some free AI-powered features for free.
Reliance Jio has announced new unlimited 5G data plans that will be applicable from July 3, 2024, onwards in the country. Jio True 5G is the fastest-ever 5G rollout of scale anywhere in the world, and leads the Indian market’s 5G penetration as well.
Jio 5G Unlimited Data Plan: New Details
The new unlimited 5G data plans will be available on 2GB/day and above plans from early next month. Jio has shared some good news for the JioBharat and JioPhone users who will continue to enjoy the same data plans without any revisions or price changes.
“This move will further enable industry innovation and drive sustainable growth through investments in 5G and AI technology. Jio will always put our country and customer first and will continue to invest for India,” said Akash M Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Jio.
No Changes For JioPhone/JioBharat Tariffs
Jio offers its standalone True 5G network in the country, and claims to have around 85 percent of the total 5G cells operational on its network in India. Jio is also aware of the 250 million feature phone users who are limited to 2G networks and want to experience the fast-speed 4G networks for which you have the JioPhone and JioBharat devices in the market.
Jio Announces AI-Powered Services For Free
In addition to the new unlimited 5G data plans, Jio has also introduced its first set of AI-powered features that will be available for free of cost to Jio users. JioTranslate is the new AI-powered multilingual communication app that can help you with translating calls, voice messages, text and images as well.
The telco has also announced JioSafe which is a Quantum-secure communication app that helps you with calling, messaging, and file transfer among others. Jio users are getting both these services (worth Rs 298 per month) for free for one year after that, JioSafe will be available at Rs 199 per month, while JioTranslate will be priced at just Rs 99 per month for all the users.
