Air India is set to revolutionize the flying experience on its twice-daily flights between Delhi and London Heathrow starting September 1, 2024.

Replacing the current Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner on 14 out of 17 weekly flights, the A350-900 will bring an additional 336 seats per week on the Delhi-London Heathrow route.

By September, Air India plans to have upgraded 90 percent of its flights to London Heathrow, according to the official Press Release. Earlier in April 2024, the airline began deploying upgraded Boeing 777-300ERs on its Mumbai-London Heathrow route, featuring enhanced cabin interiors and reintroducing First class on the London Heathrow-Mumbai leg. This move makes Air India the sole carrier offering First class options between these cities and between the UK and India.

Introducing a Premium Economy class for the first time on the Delhi-London Heathrow route with the A350-900, Air India will provide 24 spacious seats in a dedicated upscale cabin layout.

Passengers on Air India’s A350 flights can look forward to new soft products and guest enhancements unveiled this year, including new chinaware, tableware, glassware, bedding, and updated amenity kits designed exclusively by Ferragamo and TUMI for Business and Premium Economy guests.

Campbell Wilson, Air India’s CEO, emphasized, “The deployment of our flagship A350s and the B777s with upgraded cabin interiors to London Heathrow marks a significant milestone for Air India.”
