Amitabh Bachchan left everyone surprised as he attended the promotional event for ‘Kalki 2898 AD‘. The legendary star has stopped attending promotional events and giving interviews during movie releases, for a while now. More so, post Covid, the actor has limited his public appearances. But he was seen with the energy of a young boy at the event and fans were delighted to see him after a while.The event was attended by Big B along with Deepika Padukone, Prabhas and Kamal Haasan.
So, what made Bachchan attend this promotional event? The actor has revealed the real reason behind it on his blog, as he said, “My presence for promotional work is one that I shy away from .. but for the sake of the most humble Production team .. and more particularly , a team that is run by daughters of the Head .. it is a justification beyond personal choices.”
He further wrote, “To be a part of a vision of the maker and director, of some extraordinary thought was a delight that I had not imagined or was even close to.” Big B also shared some pictures on his blog as he posed with the entire team – Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and producers.
Bachchan left everyone amazed as he competed with Prabhas to escort a pregnant Deepika. The actress was delighted and laughed at it. Meanwhile, later, when she went on stage again, Big B gave her his hand and escorted her.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is set to release on June 27. The film looks like a futuristic take on Mahabharata. Deepika Padukone also plays a pregnant woman in the movie and Rana Daggubatti jokingly asked her during the event if she’s still in character for the film. She laughed and said, “Clearly!”
