NEW DELHI: Reliance Jio, the country’s biggest telecom company, suffered outages on Tuesday with network tracker Downdetector showing disturbances across certain geographies during middle of the day, which was also highlighted by users on social media. Disturbances were also reported on the network of Airtel, and other OTT apps.
Downdetector showed disturbances on the Jio network from around 1:15pm which peaked at around 4:55pm and continued to be felt till around 8pm.The problems were reported on the company’s JioFiber broadband network, as well as its mobile network.
However, there was no estimate of how many subscribers were impacted. Jio did not comment on the report.
