The six-lane expressway is currently under development and is expected to be completed by June 2025.
With the metro, buses, and multiple expressways, connectivity in Delhi-NCR is drastically developing.
These developments have considerably decreased the amount of time spent travelling.
People in the Delhi NCR will now have an alternative to Delhi Airport with the upcoming Jewar Airport in Noida. The government has been building new expressways and highways to link cities together.
The Faridabad Jewar Expressway, for example, will connect Ballabgarh to Jewar Airport in 15 minutes. It currently takes approximately 2 hours to travel between the two places.
Faridabad Jewar Expressway: Details on Distance, Route, And Others
The new expressway will have six lanes and shorten the distance from 90 km to 31 km. The development work has already begun, and the Rs 2,414.67 crore project is expected to be finished by June 2025, or within the following year, as per the National Highway Authority. Meanwhile, the work on the expressway began in June 2023.
According to DNA India, the projected 31.425-kilometer expressway will start at the Link Road junction on the Delhi-Mumbai Express near Sector 65 in Faridabad. It will give a direct connection to Jewar Airport.
Furthermore, around 22 kilometres of the line will be in Haryana, with the remaining 9 km in Uttar Pradesh. It will begin at Dayanatpur (near Jewar) and run via Vallabhnagar, Karauli Bangar, Farida Bangar, Amarpur, and Jhuppa in Uttar Pradesh before connecting to villages such as Bahpur, Kalan, and Mohana in Haryana. The Jewar-Faridabad Expressway, which has six lanes, is currently under construction.
Reports state that this highway would connect the Delhi-Mumbai highway, Yamuna Expressway, Kundli Ghaziabad Palwal (KGP), also known as the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, and Kundli, Manesar, Palwal (KMP), also known as the Western Peripheral Expressway.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) estimates that the 31-kilometer expressway will cost around Rs 2,414 crore to build. Once completed, commercial and industrial developments will accelerate, contributing to an increase in economic activity in the National Capital Region.
This route will connect both Faridabad and Gurugram to Jewar Airport directly. The Faridabad-Jewar Expressway is very important because, once completed, real estate values in the villages and other regions it passes through will increase by 30 to 40 per cent. As a result, this expressway will benefit both industry and real estate, in addition to making linkages.
