Some reports have suggested that both Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson are in the process of finalizing an agreement, which will allow them to work in the same direction.
After successfully releasing the tech-loaded Harley-Davidson X440 in partnership with Hero, both the are are expected to bring more US models to the Indian market. It has been reported that manufacturers are gearing up to improve the fleet, and will new products range in the country.
Some reports have suggested that both Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson are in the process of finalizing an agreement, which will allow them to work in the same direction.
Expected to Push Local Manufacturing
If everything goes as speculated, both companies together will start manufacturing Harley-Davidson models locally and will export them overseas as well. A concrete confirmation about the same is yet to be shared by officials.
Current Product Line
Meanwhile, Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp offer a robust X440 motorcycle in the Indian market. It is available in three variants and can be purchased at the starting price of Rs 2.39 lakh, while the top model goes up to Rs 2.79 lakh (all ex-showroom).
Engine
At the heart, the motorcycle is powered by an impressive 440cc BS6 engine, which generates a maximum power of 27 bhp and 38 Nm of peak torque. As far as some advanced features are concerned, the model is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity with a turn-by-turn navigation system, Switchable ABS, LED treatments, among others.
