Amazon has launched the new-gen Fire TV Stick 4K version in the country which now has quick-access buttons for all the apps.
Amazon has introduced its latest Fire TV Stick 4K in India, aiming to elevate the viewing experience for its customers. This upgraded version offers significant improvements over its predecessors. Notable highlights include a remote with dedicated buttons for popular streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon’s own music and video services, along with a designated button for accessing apps.
The Fire TV Stick also boasts access to a vast array of films and TV shows, with over 12,000 apps available. Additionally, this version marks the first Fire TV Stick to provide users with a 4K viewing experience. Let’s delve into its specifications, features and pricing.
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K: Specs and Features
The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K features 4K Ultra HD streaming and supports HDR10+. In terms of its audio abilities, it comes with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio. It is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core processor and the company claims that it is 30 per cent more powerful than the previous generation of Fire Stick TV.
The Fire Stick also offers Wi-Fi 6 connectivity with support for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi bands. It also comes with a low-power mode that saves energy when the device is in sleep or standby mode. Additionally, users can also create an ‘Alexa Home Theatre’ by using the Alexa app to wirelessly link their Fire TV Stick 4K to their Echo smart speakers.
Apart from that, users will also be able to access free or paid content on websites and apps like MX Player, YouTube, and MiniTV. They will also be allowed to use the DTH set-top box to watch TV channels.

The newly launched version of Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K comes in a single matte black colour option and is priced at Rs. 5,999. Currently, it is available for pre-order on the Amazon website and will go on sale from May 13 onwards.
