Ryan Gosling’s Performance of ‘I’m Just Ken’ was the highlight of the 96th Academy Awards. The show witnessed an extraordinary display of pink power as the ‘Barbie’ actor took the stage to perform ‘I’m Just Ken’ with his huge crew of backup dancers.The song from the original album featured in Greta Gerwig‘s directorial Oscar-nominated ‘Barbie’, was among the five songs vying for the Best Song prize.
Dressed in a sparkling pink suit and matching gloves, Gosling left his leading lady Margot Robbie in splits as he began his soulful rendition of ‘I’m Just Ken’ seated in a row behind her.

Joined by Mark Ronson on guitar and accompanied by a troupe of backup dancers, the stage was further ignited by the appearance of Slash, who contributed his electrifying guitar prowess to the performance.

Gosling was joined onstage by his fellow ‘Kens’ including Simu Liu, Scott Evans, Ncuti Gatwa, and Kingsley Ben-Adir, enhancing the spectacle with their collective presence.

In a heartwarming moment, Gosling got off stage with the microphone in hand, to share the spotlight with his collaborators from ‘Barbie’, including Greta Gerwig, Robbie, and America Ferrera, all enthusiastically joining in the sing-along as the lyrics of the song played on the big screen.

He also held the mic next to his ‘La La Land’ co-star Emma Stone to sing along. During the electrifying performance that had Hollywood’s biggest names on their feet, clapping and dancing, actress Emma Stone revealed that she suffered a wardrobe malfunction.

The actress, who won the Best Actress award later in the evening, showed the audience the split zipper on her dress and said, “My dress is broken.”
