The traffic police have issued an advisory, suggesting commuters to plan their travel accordingly as section 144 of the CrPc has been imposed in the area, ensuring safety of PM Modi.

The much-awaited newly constructed Dwarka Expressway is scheduled to be inaugurated tomorrow (March 11). It has been reported that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach the location to attend the inaugural ceremony.

The traffic police have already issued an advisory, suggesting commuters to plan their travel accordingly as section 144 of the CrPc has been imposed in the area, ensuring proper safety of PM Modi.

Traffic Advisory

As per the details shared by the HT, it says that commuters are advised to avoid the Dwarka Clover Leaf route as a planned rally will take place near Antriksh Chowk, which might cause a great rush at that spot. If the number of attendees increases or crosses the expected level, the concerned authorities are likely to

block the route or divert the traffic at Antriksh Chowk Road.

Vehicles coming from Narnaul, Dharuhera, and Rewari will be given an alternate route. They will be directed to reach the venue via the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway, using Rampura Chowk and Vatika Chowk. Those coming from Palwal, Faridabad, and Sohna, can opt for the Clover Leaf route, while commuters from Pataudi are advised to pass through Sati Chowk.

Cost and Connectivity

Built under a whooping cost of approximately Rs 9,000 crore, the 29-kilometer-long Dwarka Expressway is expected to transform the travel experience in the Delhi-Dwarka route. It will offer seamless connectivity between Delhi and Dwarka, allowing commuters to save time and avoid huge traffic.

The 16-lane expressway starts from Shiv-Murti on NH-8, passing through Dwarka Sector 21, Gurugram border, Basai, and it ends at  Shiv-Murti on NH-8.

Benefits

The newly built expressway will provide an alternate route to reach Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. It is also expected to contribute to improve the traffic situation on National Highway 8 as well.
