The Dwarka Expressway is yet to open, but residential and commercial sectors on it will be the most benefited by the Metro running from Millennium City Centre to Cyber City

In good news for owners of flats and houses near the Gurugram’s Dwarka Expressway, they will be located only 10 minutes away from the nearest Metro station. The expressway is yet to open, but residential and commercial sectors on it will be the most benefited by the Metro from Millennium City Centre to Cyber City.

The Metro will be available only 10 minutes away from the Dwarka Expressway. This makes the area even more lucrative for homebuyers and real estate developers alike, as the Delhi international airport will only be 15 minutes away once the expressway comes up. And now, the Metro will also be at a most convenient distance.

According to the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), the Metro is going to run close to the Dwarka Expressway. Those who buy homes in sectors 101 and 102 here will be 6.8 km from the Sector 9 Metro station on this line.

At the same time, the nearest metro station from sectors 71, 72 and 76 will be at least 6 km away. This extension of the Metro will bring better connectivity to Gurugram and, not only this, there are many other sectors from where it will take only 10 minutes to reach a Metro station.

It will be easy to access the Metro from sectors 71, 72, 76, and 37D of New Gurugram in the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) area. Sector 37D will benefit the most, especially because there are residential and commercial projects of many other developers, while the nearest metro stations will be sectors 37 and 10 located only two to four minutes away.

Apart from this, sectors 91, 92, 93 to 101, 102, 103 among others will get a number of benefits. People living in these sectors will get easy access to the Metro. Not only that, due to the proximity of the Metro and the boost in local transport, the real estate on the Dwarka Expressway will reach new heights.

Ravi Agarwal, co-founder and managing director of Signature Global (India) Ltd, said the expansion of the Metro will add a new dimension to the city of Gurugram. “With the arrival of the Metro, the residents of Gurugram are going to get easy connectivity to NCR (national capital region), as well as in a few days, it will be at the top of the list of cities in terms of connectivity. This is also a huge opportunity for the real estate sector, where many big projects are coming up in residential and commercial segments,” he said.

Gaurav K Singh, founder and chairman of Womeki Group, said people in Gurugram to date were dependent on bus, rail and private vehicles, but Metro will soon become the best option for transport with easy access to the NCR. “If the Metro is facilitated, then you will get rid of heavy traffic jams and people will also get a chance to travel comfortably,” he said.

Pankaj Pal, managing director of Whiteland Corporation, said the distance of Metro stations from the sectors on the Dwarka Expressway is not much. “The kind of infrastructure that has been created, the transportation is going to be very smooth while the Metro will take it to another level,” he added.
