The Artisan Awards will hold its sixth awards ceremony in 2023 – GJEPC- India- Facebook

The awards has chosen its theme for its upcoming 2023 contest as ‘IndiaModerne’, the GJEPC announced on Facebook. Jewellers are challenged to take inspiration from the world of fine art and create pieces which showcase jewellery as “art in itself,” The Artisan Awards announced on its website.
The three sub-categories this season are ‘Abstract Paintings’, ‘Sculptures’, and ‘Prints’. Entries to the content are open until December 20, the initiative announced on its website. “Let your imagination run wild to transform jewellery into a beautiful piece of Art,” announced the GJEPC.

Winners of The Artisan Awards’ 2023 edition will be given internships at leading jewellery brands. The winning designs will be showcased and photographed to be displayed both in an exhibition and in global media. Cash prizes are also on offer.
The awards chooses its winners by a jury panel of business and design names in jewellery. Past jury members include VAK Jewels founder and creative head Vishal Kothari, GIA India managing director Sriram Natarajan, author Gayatri Rangachari Shah, and bespoke jewellery shopping consultant Arundhati De among others.
“Since the last few years, we are seeing a lot of innovation and creativity in the entries,” said The Artisan Awards’ curator Nisha Jhangiani, the awards announced on its website. “After much deliberation, we thought it helps to make the theme more challenging as we wanted to push the boundaries a little more.”
